A short run is a promise, not a marketing device

KAVELL started in 2021 with forty mugs and a kiln in a garage in Brighton. We now work with two family potteries in Portugal, a glass studio outside Krakow, and a joiner twenty minutes from the studio.

Everything is made in runs of a few hundred. When a run sells out we either make it again or we do not, and we say which on the product page rather than leaving it ambiguous. Nothing is ever discontinued quietly.

What we will not do

• We do not run permanent sales. A price that is always 40% off was never the price.
• We do not ship in plastic. It cost us $1.40 a parcel to stop and it is not going on the price.
• We do not sell your email address, and the newsletter is one send a month.
